The modern world requires students to possess not only the ability to perform mathematical calculations but also critical thinking, data analysis, modeling, presentation, and collaboration skills. Through our project, we aspire to teach students to perceive and describe the world’s harmony through a mathematical perspective, enabling them to discover how mathematical principles manifest in various fields and everyday life.
Project Overview
“Maths and Harmony” seeks to enrich our students’ understanding of how mathematics connects with diverse topics, from finance to social and scientific issues. Our goals include fostering skills such as critical thinking, developing financial literacy, promoting international cooperation to achieve sustainable development, protecting democratic and cultural values, and nurturing active citizenship.
Throughout this project, students will explore these connections across multiple disciplines, broadening their awareness and understanding of how mathematics shapes the world. Our team includes schools from Georgia, Italy, Greece, and Turkey, working together to provide a collaborative and multicultural experience for students aged 7-16.
This website was created to present the materials that will be used throughout the project, serving as a central resource and showcase for the “Maths and Harmony” activities and outputs.
Timeline
Our journey begins in November and will continue through the end of May. Together, we will embark on an exploration of “Maths and Harmony,” connecting mathematical insights with real-world applications and diverse cultural contexts.
